Step 1: Rinse the Rice Rinse the Kalanamak rice thoroughly under cold water.
Step 2:Cook the Rice and Milk In a heavy-bottomed pan, cook the rinsed rice with milk on a low flame. Stir often until the rice is soft wid the kheer thickness.
Step 3: Sweeten and Flavour Add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron to the kheer . Mix in the chopped nuts and rasins. Cook for a few more minutes, then serve warm or chilled.
