Golden Til Gur Ladoo made with black sesame seeds and natural jaggery — traditional Indian sweet recipe by Vedanna

What You Need

Ingredients

White Sesame Seeds (til) 2 cups
Jaggery (gur), grated 1 cup
Pure Ghee 1 tbsp
Cardamom Powder (elaichi) ½ tsp
Dry Coconut (optional) 2 tbsp
Water 2 tbsp

How To Make

Instructions

Dry roast sesame seeds on low flame for 4–5 minutes until light golden and aromatic. Keep aside to cool.

In a pan, add jaggery and water. Melt on low flame and stir continuously until it forms a soft ball consistency.

Add ghee and cardamom powder. Mix well and turn off the flame.

Quickly add roasted sesame seeds and dry coconut. Mix everything together fast before it hardens.

Grease your palms with ghee and shape the mixture into round ladoos while still warm.

Let them cool completely and store in an airtight container. Enjoy!
