What You Need

Ingredients

Vedanna Red Rice 1 cup
Onion (sliced) 1 large
Tomato (chopped) 1 medium
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tsp
Whole Spices (bay leaf, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon) as needed
Green Peas ΒΌ cup
Fresh Mint Leaves handful
Pure Ghee 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Water 2 cups
Fresh Coriander for garnish

How To Make

Instructions

Wash and soak red rice for 20–30 minutes. Drain and keep aside.

Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan. Add whole spices and let them splutter for 30 seconds.

Add sliced onions and sautΓ© until golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until mushy. Add green peas and mint leaves. Mix well.

Add soaked red rice, 2 cups water, and salt. Stir gently. Cover and cook on low flame for 20–25 minutes.

Fluff with a fork, garnish with fresh coriander, and serve hot with raita. Enjoy!
