Ingredients
• Kalanamak Rice – 1 cup
• Mushrooms – 1 cup (sliced)
• Onion – 1 medium (chopped)
• Garlic – 2 cloves
• Ghee / Oil – 1 tbsp
• Salt – to taste
• Whole spices (bay leaf, cloves)
Cooking Method
- Step 1: Prepare the Rice
Wash and soak Kalanamak rice for 20 minutes. Drain well before cooking. - Step 2: Sauté the Aromatics
Heat ghee or oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until golden. - Step 3: Cook the Pulao
Add mushrooms and whole spices. Cook for 2 minutes. Add drained rice, sauté lightly, then add water and salt. Cover and cook on low heat until rice is tender and fluffy. Fluff with a fork and serve hot.

• Use ghee instead of oil for an authentic aroma.
